Dyani’s diverse background mixes a speculative design approach with methods of traditional construction. As a newcomer to New Orleans, she looks forward to contributing to the city’s exceptional architectural landscape.
After receiving her B.S. in Architecture from Ohio State University in 2013, Dyani worked on a number of renovations for schools and small businesses in her hometown of Columbus, OH. Through a number of small personal projects she began to develop an interest in computational design and digital fabrication. This passion eventually led her to pursue a Master of Advanced Architectural Design from Carnegie Mellon. Her research at CMU explored ways in which automation in manufacturing and digital modeling can push the boundaries of traditional practice. Before joining the team, Dyani ran a design-build studio program in Baton Rouge. She spends most of her free time exploring the city by bike and tinkering with small electronics projects on the rainy days off. Through her work at CICADA, she aims to help build environments that foster creativity and technological advancement through architecture.
